All boat serial numbers are 12 letters and numbers long. Each manufactuer has a code they use for their individual info. This link gives some interesting info since the formats changed in the mid-80s: http://boatsafe.com/nauticalknowhow/hin.htm
Best wishes to you.

Frank,
Not true. The SROC doesn't give out emails--I checked. They've sent me an email on behalf of someone, but I didn't get anything direct from that company. (I work in marketing so I pay attention to that stuff.)
I got a newsletter last week and an email invite to a local boat show before...
That's a diffent number. The number for the free hat is 888-SEA RAY-2. It goes straight to somebody at www.searaywearables.com who's in charge of the free hat offer. It makes sense if it sounds like someone's voice mail.
Has anyone bought anything from there? That address paper in the plastic...
SRBoats is not custmer service, usually sales (brochures, who's my dealer, etc.). I've called the Owners Club and they transfered me. They asked all my info, which I thought was unnecessary until the woman told me she was going to give it to the rep. She also said that there are two different...

I think the 800-248-3512 will get you 100 points for getting an insurance quote from NBOA. They're a big SROC supporter. But you're right, 100 pts via the NBOA quote, 50 pts for signing up for the e-newsletter Sea Ray is working on, and 50 pts for sending Sea Ray Living a picture of me...
That 615SS picture was in one of the Sea Ray Livings from several years ago.
Anyway, the scoop is that the Winter 08 issue mailed early last week. The mag ships "presort standard" which is regular magazine mail -- 1 to 2 wks. I got mine this weekend.
William Miller,
Seeing as how it's after 5, you're probably not going to get a response until tomorrow. But I agree with everyone else that SR reps always get you taken care of in 48 hours. Wishing you the best!

I didn't realize there were so few West Coast events. I don't have the magazine with me; were there extra events in there? I'm on the East Coast and was only checking out those near me.
I wonder if the lack of events have anything to do with registration. If people don't register, Sea Ray...
Okay folks, model abbreviations used by Sea Ray over the years...
AC = Aft Cabin
AJ = Amberjack
AN = Anniversary
BR = Bow Rider
BRS = Bow Rider Select
CB = Closed Bow
CMY = Cockpit Motor Yacht
CC = Cuddy Cabin
DC = Dual Console
EB = Express Bridge
EC = Express Cruiser
LG = Laguna...
Just trying to make sure I'm following the rules, Shining. I read on one of the pix postings that they need to be small (under 500).
Yes, should've taken the fender off first, but we were packing it up. Fender stays in place on the dock b'c we're new (to driving, not boating) and so's our...
Anyone registering for AquaPalooza or are you just showing up?
Just curious. If you register, you get two T-shirts. How you get the T's depends on how the SR dealer passes them out. Some have you pick them up at the dealership, some have you pick them up at the event.
In any case, I'm sure...
The model and engine decals are above the tow bar on the 08 240SD, and I don't want to try to squeeze it on either side of the SR wave. Looks like the name will go on the left side of the transom.
DreamWeaver sounds as anxious as I am! I can't take pix until we officially take delivery -- a week from today. I promise I'll update by Wed!
But, details include: pewter hull, silver/white interior, mesh helm seats with bolsters & slider/swivel, pump out head (3 girls/1 guy), transom stereo...
