Monty, thanks for the additional info. Removing that exhaust pipe does make a big difference. You say you are installing Mercruiser stainless manifolds and risers? I’ve never heard of them, please share that info when you have a minute. -Steve

Monty, Thanks for your suggestion. I have been thinking about changing out manifolds and risers, so maybe I'll combine the jobs. I would like to upgrade the seals to dripless, but it could get expensive real quick if both shafts need to be replaced. Something to think about though. Thanks! Steve

The previous owner of our 89 340 Sundancer had removed all the stripes. It looked very plain and boring. My wife and I have since reinstalled the boot stripes and are in the process of putting all other stripes back on.
