I need a new lanyard/chain for my gas cap also. I'm fortunate so far that I trailer my boat and have only been gassing up while its on the trailer. If I was gassing up while the boat was in the water, I would have had to do something to ensure the cap doesn't fall into the drink.

I'm not on the coast, only boat in inland fresh water lakes locally. A bow rider is all I will own and mostly all you see in my area. Its all about boat space for me. I need that bow rider space and have no use for a cuddy.
I removed the rear mount anchor pin, dropped them down and cycled them. It seems better, pretty sure they were taking in air from the oil level being too low in the reservoir. I still have a small amount of movement in the cylinders when i lift the lower unit manually by hand but it is a lot...
The cylinders aren't new though.
I did loosen one hose on one cylinder to turn it so the stainless hose would stop rubbing on the back of the boat. Other then that, I haven't touched anything on the cylinders.
