I had similar feelings when trading in my 280 a few weeks ago. Lots of good memories and I was a little sad to see it go too.
Congrats on the new boat! I'm sure you'll have lots of great new memories with the upgrade.
Here is a another shot of the new boat taken from someone on my bosses 500DA. Too bad they only had iphone cameras to take the pic with:
I just made that my new signature pic
Good news on the depth finder, the transducer itself is functioning, the junction box it feeds into to send...
Thanks for the info on the depth reading. Ive got the depth data showing on the vessel view system and the E120 - but its not reporting any values on either. I think either something is wrong with the transducer, somethings not wired correctly, or some wiring has come lose. Hopefully MM will...
Yeah, I had my 280DA at Pier 121 already. I just moved over to the 1000 Dock (needed a bigger slip) for the new boat. My boss (also a close friend) just bought a new 500DA as well so we've got 3 slips together in a row (center slip will hold a small ski boat or something eventually). Its...
After sending SR customer support my hull number asking about this, they replied confirming the boat does have a transducer installed that should be feeding depth to both the E120 and the Vessel View unit, and that the dealer should repair this under warranty if it isn't functioning. I forwarded...
I don't post very often - but Ive been hanging around this forum for a few years since I bought my 280DA. Last month I took the plunge and upgraded to a (previously untitled) '09 44DB and wanted to share the exciting news!
I don't have any really good pics yet, but here are a few Ive been...
Im considering an upgrade soon as well, and the 44DB is on my radar too. You mentioned $329K as the price these are selling for - the asking prices I am seeing are closer to $400K+. Are the asking prices that far above what they actual sale prices are going for?
I recently discovered a small amount of water in the sump pump area under the trash can stored under the step leading into the cabin in my '05 280DA. I used a shop vac to suck it out, then a few weeks later noticed a small amount in the compartment again.
I see the various different hoses...
I was planning to replace my holding tank vent filter cartridge. Looking online I see multiple different hose fitting sizes to pick from.
Does anyone know the correct size on the 280DA off the top of their head? Im seeing options for 5/8", 3/4", 1".
Thanks,
glocklt4,
I have a slip at Peir 121, Ive been there for two seasons now. I too had sticker shock when I first started looking at slip prices while considering my purchase. I started out with a slip just large enough for my 280DA to fit, then last year upgraded to a large slip with 10' of...
johnrb3,
Your signature says Lake Lewisville, I assume you are in Lewisville, Texas? I have my boat slipped at Pier 121 on Lake Lewisville in Texas that’s why I ask.
Anyhow, I have a 280DA with twin 4.3s w/ Alpha 1's and love it. The main thing for me has been the easy maneuverability...
