I have a three point manual drain system.
I tried to post a picture of the corresponding manual page, but the site says it is too big. I believe all/most of the water should be out, given the steps I took. My concern is lack of antifreeze going back in. The drainage rate where the three...
So last year I paid through the nose for a marina to winterize my boat. They didn't call me before showing up, and I caught them as they finished up. The boat is on my backyard hoist.
So I asked what he did. He put a little antifreeze in my water system, which I've had drained for years...
Brand new for a first boat? Even if I won the lottery I'd be too afraid of scratching a new boat to buy new, much less let a doggie on board.
/2001 240 sundeck
//does that mean mine is about the same size as yours? 26'5" overall. Crazy the way those numbers change.
Fatsacs are expensive in and of themselves, especially in the quantity it requires to lower my searay significantly. Not to mention tedious.
I have till next spring to make this decision though.
Nuts, that sounds like significant work. Oh well, water is down and should be for the remainder of the season. Hopefully this year is the peak.
Stupid bridges, bain of my existence.
How much work is it to remove a windshield from a 2001 240 Sundeck?
I need the bridge clearance with the ridiculously high water. I can squeeze it through some days but it is too risky if the wind shifts and our water level spikes. My neighbors said this was a common solution used by others...
I'm wondering about this myself. I bought my boat in the fall, and they had already put it in the water when I picked it up this spring. In the fall the hull was spotless. When I drove the boat home and got it on the hoist, I can see two spots where the fiberglass is exposed by gelcoat chips...
How did I know that pic was coming? :)
Alternative to fatsacs: modifying the windshield?
Back to fatsacs: if I strictly avoid all storage compartments there isn't a lot of places left, as the main storage compartment run the length of the boat down the center, and I was thinking having the...
Hi folks. I bought my 2001 240 sundeck last year after living in my area for a few years, learning the canals, seeing the sizes of neighbors' boats, etc.
Now the water is up over a foot, the highest in nearly 20 years, and the highest bridge out of my canal is within inches of the searay...
How bad is it if the boat does hang off the edge a bit? Unfortunately, with mine pulled almost all the way to the seawall in the front I still have a foot hanging off the back of the bunk. Is that really doing to be a problem such that I should go out and buy some lumber to lengthen the bunks...
