I have changed the impellers and the carrier seals. It's not that I didn't want to change the impellers or skip out on PM, the question was more of did I still need them with the thru hull fittings supplying the water. My previous boats were through the drive so I'm like a virgin with the...
OK There are no inlet hoses. They must of been removed. I did not see a hose when looking behind the housing and I was able to turn the housing enough to get my finger on the side where the hose would be connected.
Sorry, I knew what I was trying to write. Bad choice of words. Writing was always a weak subject for me. Yes the seawater does run through the exchangers and the raw water pumps are on the motors. Still have to run to the marina to check on the inlet hoses. Originally the reason for removing the...
I will check on that. I want to say it's still connected as I remember a hose inside capped off by the housing where the water would come from the drive. I also remember someone telling me that the impeller and plate hold or should I say help hold the carrier seal in place.
I have a 94 Sea Ray Sundancer 300 with twin 350's and Mercruiser Gen 2 Drives. The motors have thru hull fittings that supplies the engines with raw water thru sea water pumps but only for exhaust as the engines are FWC. I removed the drives for service also to check gimbals, universals, and...
Bad Santa for telling you what is under the tree. I agree that you would want the cp390i in a more direct line of sight. I would also look at the cons to putting it down there. For me that would be not being able to see the gps and where i'm going at the same time when I chart into an unknown area.
I wasn’t going into this thinking about making money just wanted to show off my custom dash but wow. The thing with charging to do these custom dash panels is I would not be able to add the Sea Ray logo on your panels because now I would be infringing on Sea Ray’s Logo which I’m sure is a...
Over the winter I decided to give my 1987 268 Sundancer a dash overhaul. The old dash was rotted in a few places and the vinyl was showing signs of the same. Plus I wanted to mount the GPS in the dash. Although I work as a network administrator, I work in a machine shop with access to a lot of...
Yes this is GPS Speed. That was going to be first on my list to check on...but being that winter is among us..I plan on checking the ratio of the outdrive anyway. I can also stay on plane @lower speeds. I like to cruise around 3000rpm (on possible bad tach so I could be off) I have dropped it...
Thanks. I wil look into both. This was the first season with this boat so I was never able to get the R's on WOT.. Prop was on the boat when I purchased and I'm not to fond of S.S. on the river. Not sure on the OD ratio but the motor was replaced in 2005 (paperwork in hand) 500hrs never skips a...
I have a 1987 268DA weighing 5485lbs with a mercruiser 350 V8 260HP w/ Alpha One OD Running a mirage SS 15 3/4 X15P. At WOT rpms show 3900. should be around 4200-4600 WOT. I usually run with 50gal of fuel normally me myself & I. What prop would get me in the 4200-4600 range or am I nit picking???
