Before draining oil, loosen engine oil fill cap (it helps with draining the oil), also when finished draining oil absolutely DO NOT put boat drain plug back into the garboard if you store your boat on the "hard".
I run the motor on the muffs (regular water) then fog till she stalls. Then I drain the manifolds (2 wing nuts 1 per manifold) and block (2 drain bolts one per side of block) using a plastic zip tie to clear out the drains, then replace manifold wing nuts and block drain plugs then fill...
IIRC engine temp approx 140* and oil pressure is 50 ish.
Mercrusier specs are 160* operating engine temp and oil pressure of 30 - 55 psi @ 2000rpms.
Consistant temps & oil pressure within normal operating ranges is desirable.
An old mechanic's rule for oil PSI is idle 20psi and a minimum of...
IIRC the maximum operating range is 4400 - 4800 rpm at wot. So at 4600 RPMs you are only leaving 200 RPMs on the table which is probably good for maybe (guess) 1 mph.
What prop to use depends on how you will use the boat. I'll give you the short & dirty version: Getting up on plane quicker...

Run a lead off of the positive battery post through a 7.5 amp fuse using an inline fuse connector and attach the free end of the inline fuse connector to the blower positive lead then ground the other blower lead (presuably the negative) that comes off the blower to a good known ground. If the...
