Curious what Venture owners are seeing for maintenance after 10 years. How are the engine holding up? Was the enclosure technology a fail? Causing engine problems? Generator. I currently have a Formula 37PC and it like to eat outdrives as that boat is probably too heavy to have I/Os. Thanks for...
I have a 7.4L EFI Horizon Mercruiser Raw Water Cooled. The temperature gauge has been warming up to about 200-220 deg.
1. The computer indicates is running at 158-163 deg. (mercruiser scan tool)
2. I have changed the sending unite twice.
3. I changed the Thermostat.

I have a 1995 28' Sun Runner that was just soda blasted. Very little blisters near the back of the water line and a few gouges underneath. I plan on filling the gouges with Marine Tex. I also plan on using the West Marine Epoxy Primer barrier coat (2 gallons), followed by a base coat of (Red or...
I have a Mercruiser. My timing was off in that situation. I changed the IAC first but It wasn't that.
Best to get it hooked up to a computer first to tell what component it might be broken or timing.
I am buying a scan tool next time I have an issue.
My Engine Hatch Lift went yesterday. It is a Redmond PE 26630. I do not believe they are in business anymore. It looks like original equipment. I checked the connections and still getting 12V from the switch. I took it apart and the gears were all intact. The motor seemed to be getting slower...
That's my boat !
Last year I threw a towel over the mast light because I was blinded. It melted and I ended up having to replace the entire light. The Perko light replacement is about 3" shorter.
Leaning toward the stern 360 idea, but don't want to do it if I will have the same issue.
Can...
I already tried the shield idea. Perko actually makes one that I bought and returned.
The main problem with the shield is it has to removed so I can lower the light and then put the mooring cover on (light rests on the windshield).
Its an all around poor design by Sea Ray. The light is just...
It's a split light. All around for anchoring. Forward looking for running. The rear section for or when I flip the switch to running.
I like the stern mast light 360 all around idea wires into the stern light. My buddy has a 2003 26' formula with all 360 stern pole.
Thanks for the replies.
I am covered with stern with the white Stern Light....My problem is the forward looking white light I am suppose to have. The current setup blinds me. Obviously it was a poor design on Sea Rays part because the newer boats have them installed up real high on the radar arch that is installed on...
I have a 1995 28' Sea Ray Sun Runner with a white stern light, red and green nav lights mounted on the sides of the boat about 2 feet back from the bow and a Mast Light mounted on the windshield that blinds me while underdway.
The mast light is perko that is forward lllumination while underway...
Removed connections from various sensors one at a time today. Engine ran rough and stalled in neutral without a load when I removed each of them. The IAT one would not allow me to start the engine unless I pumped the throttle...but I think that was more because the engine was already hot.
