This is the OE fender clearance marker on a 2011 Shorelander trailer. Hanna's trailer supply has the light but says nothing about the type of wiring. I don't even see how the thing attached. I may end up just having to getting aftermarket and cutting the plugs off by I prefer the look of OE.
I've just replaced the leafs on my 2011 shorelander trailer and the hook end sits to far back. The old ones measure at 26 1/4 and I thought that's what I ordered. I ordered a second set from etrailer and they are to long as well. They are 5 leaf 3000#. The only place I've found them by part...
Just got my new manifolds and risers today and getting ready to install. All the gasket surfaces are painted and the company I bought from said they go on as such. I spoke with a merc rep who said the same. I'm confused though because every video I've seen they have sanded down the gasket...
I've got my manifolds off so I decided to change spark plugs.I looked up the part number on Mercs website when ordering various parts. The plugs sent to me were ACDelco#MR43LTS. The plugs I pulled were ACDelco 41-101, Iridium plugs. I called Merc and they said that was correct and the current...
It was fixmymercruiser.com. It was kind of a one stop shop as they had both the manifold/riser kit and the spacer kit. The $450 is for both sides tho. I've found them elsewhere but not for much cheaper.
Gonna go ahead and replace it all then. I couldn't believe the price of the 1.7" spacers ,$450 alone! 2 more questions tho. The kits I'm looking at don't come with the pipings and fittings, should those be replaced as well or can I use the old ones? Lastly, when applying the gasket sealant...
Finally pulled my manifolds and risers off. The risers were easy enough to see they were pretty bad. My question is with the manifold and spacer shown(the other manifold looks identical really). The water ports don't look to bad to me but this is the first pair i've seen. So how do they look...
Impellar was change in June of last year, when the drive was serviced. I changed it today anyways just to see and it actually looked really good. I did notice the old gaskets were a nice beefy rubber. The quicksilver kit I bought were just your typical paper gaskets. Going to order some manifold...
The hottest part I found were the manifolds. When I first felt the risers I was at idle, had been on plane about 10 minutes prior. The starboard riser was cool to the touch and the port was hot, but I could keep my hand there for a few seconds. At home with the gun both risers showed around 140...
Yes, impellers good. Less than 80hrs on it. But due to be changed anyway. I've got an impeller and thermostat on the way. But like I said, it's never overheated. Gauge has always stayed on the "low" side.
Here is the best pic I could get. Nothing really happened. I was just feeling around underway and it felt a bit warm. While flushing it at home I put a IR gun on a couple spots and temps were up near 190 on the manifolds.
Serial # is-1A631540
Found some hot spots on my exhaust system the day(up to 185 deg) temp never ran hot tho?? and guess it's time to change the manifolds/risers. Problem i'm having is finding the correct kit, or even parts for that matter. It's a 2011 4.3l. Went to Mercurys website and pulled all the part numbers...
Hmmm. Sorry I know the picture is small but I'm referring to the zerk fitting in the center of the pic. That is on a short shaft coming from the back of the engine then to the transom/drive, similar to your description.
