A horn yelling like a girlie would be OK, but the OEM sound was just embarrassing - and since last week completely stopped working.
Any ideas about disassembling the OEM horn as mentioned?
Best regards!
Hi there!
Sorry for digging out this old thread, but it fits best my questions.
As all of you I feel embarrassed about the sound of the OEM horn of my 2014 190 SPE
So I ordered the seachoice horn and wanted to replace my horn which ran me into difficulties:
The original horn is somehow "clued"...
Alright, I saw the 205, the engine was in great condition, all maintenance was perfectly done.
Unfortunately esp. the polstry and the inner surfaces looked more used after a few years on saltwater than expected.
So I decided to first testdrive the 190 with the 3.0. engine that I already saw...
@searay205
That sounds pretty convincing :)
Of interest but not the main issue: how much difference in the mean fuel consumption did you notice between the 3.0 (i guess always around 4000rpm) and the 5.0 ltr engine at most economical rpm?
I heard of many people being satisfied with the 3ltr engine in a 175 or a Bayliner 180
I tried it myself in a Larson 180 an it was okay without the wow effect ...
The 190 is a bit heavier, if the 205 is not such a beauty as expected, I will surely test the 190 first of course - we'll see...
Hi! Thx for your instant replies !
I plan to use it on a river mainly, watersports later when the kids are bigger for the time just bathing and a bit tubing.
The boat was located in Croatia - >ocean water and has a pretty complete documentation of maintenance. Of course fresh water flush...
Hi there!
I introduced myself a few weeks ago and was almost finished buying a 2013 searay 190 with the 3.0 tks engine in really good shape from a friend. The boat looks like new, has run 70hours never saltwater
"unfortunately" a local dealer offered a 2009 searay 205 with the 5.0 V8 engine...
Thx for your friendly posts, be sure to see some photos of my area as soon as weather gets better an the boat is in the water.
The map didn't work on my cellphone, will try, later on my desktop.
:-)
Hi there!
I'm new to this forum (just introduced myself in the who is who section) and look forward to my first season in my 190 sport built 2013
My usual problem with boats in that size is the height of the seat, because as I am quite tall (6,40') I always look over the windshield.
I found...
