    Thank you BOE

Yes, thank you BOE as mine arrived too yesterday and it's a beauty! Going to put this to use starting with my annual wax/polish effort down at the marina. This was a great deal. -JB

    1st overnight Trip Lindy>West Hampton> Greenport

Straight forward it is. You'll be fine 1hr before High Tide. Just make sure you are referencing the tide at the Coast Gaurd Station in Moriches and not the inlet. Also depending on the time of day you are passing through, keep an eye out for all the fishing boats that will be in the channel...

    1st overnight Trip Lindy>West Hampton> Greenport

    Ok here are the numbers for buoys 26-29 which I got from Tow Boat US back in June. And yes, you can see R28 when you get to R26. Look to the northeast and ignore the G27 that's between them. R 26 - 40' 47.298N 072' 44.304W G 27 - 40' 47.639N 072' 44.147W R 28 -...

    1st overnight Trip Lindy>West Hampton> Greenport

I was just out there last week. Takes 1.5 hrs to get to Moriches from Lindenhurst at 24 knots. Go directly from R26 to R28 and skip G27 as it's in the wrong place. I have gone through there 2hrs after high tide and never saw less than 6 ft depth. Best place for fuel is just before the...

    Best Non-Skid Deck Cleaner

The 3M non-skid deck cleaner does it for us. It removes 95% of the ground in grime and stains and I use the yellow Surehold brush. The remaing stubborn stains are removed w/ Softscrub. -JB

    280 Sundancer secret storage compartment

I use mine to store bar items like martini glasses, mugs & shakers! My 10 year old (at the time) discovered it by accident. I thought he had broke something.

    Hot days... Vapor Lock? Suggestions?

I'm glad this is being brought up as I have been experiencing this since new. Not sure it's an engine room heat related issue as I only have to run them for 5 minutes to go to the fuel dock and get the no start issue. My cure is to advance the throttles in neutral when starting.

    What happened to the 44DA

I too believe that the majors withold available inventory in order to regulate supply/demand and create artificial support. I wonder how effective this tactic is since there are independent brokerages doing otherwise. HZO conference call last quarter stated that new sales in fiscal Q2 were...

340DA vs 350DA can anyone help?

What I like about the 350 is: Isolated shower. Inclining Matress. Swivel Helm seat. Starboard sided entry. Step through windshield. Single glass panels in hull. Partial hardtop. Larger TV in Mid Stateroom. Wood floor availability in cabin. 12" Chartplotter. What I do not like...

    Wiper Arm Assembly

Thanks for the advice Mark as when I do locate and install a new one I will make sure to implement a "hold down" feature such as a roll pin you described. Apparently I am not the first to have this occur. John

    Wiper Arm Assembly

I was out last night in light rain intermittently enabling the windshield wiper as needed when all of a sudden the darn thing popped off its post and into the bay it went! Anybody know a make /model number for an assembly and whether I can obtain one from an automotive type store? Thanks...

    luxury tax coming back?

I would think it is in addition to the existing sales tax paid at time and point of sale and on the amount that is over $200K. On a $300K 38 DA that would amount to $30,875 or an overall effective rate of 10.3%. Ouch!

    350 Sundancer in PMY

Regarding sterndrive Sea Ray's, check out the pricing on the '09 38 Sundancer w/ Axius Sea Cores. They list out @ $550K decently equipped. Figure a 25% discount and you are over $400K. I Wonder how many of these they'll move?

    350 Sundancer in PMY

I think this new over the top pricing has put a damper on sales as Brunswick hit a fresh 25year low today.

Is it wise to upgrade or get into boating at this time?

With the way that equities are tanking, yearly depreciation on watercraft seems pale. if you are going to take a loss, it might as well be on something you enjoy! -JB
