My Buddy's is a 1999 270SDA. His Macerator sits to the right of his vacuflush pump if your are standing directly in front of it, Uses the same pump and duck bills as the vacuflush pump, just sits on a much smaller tank. It discharges to a ball valve prior to going through the bottom discharge...
Jordan, is your macerator located in the engine compartment or in the aft sleeper at the foot of the bed in a storage hatch? Mine is a 98 and located in a storage hatch and has a side discharge. My buddy's is a 99 and located in the engine compartment with a bottom discharge.
I like the Magma as well. We have 4 kayaks currently, 2 adults and 2 kids. We only carry the kids as the adult yaks take up just too much space. That is why I was looking at SUP boards, I can stack them on the bow and not kill my vision. Or look like the Clampetts coming down river. I can fit...
SUP Board transportation?
For those that take a SUP board with you abroad, what have you found to be the best way of transporting it? I was wanting to lay it down the nose of the boat while in transit but was unsure how the best way to strap it down was.
Thanks!
Spring Honey-Do list is done and the Mahna Mahna is back in the water for another season. Sometimes I am not sure which is more daunting, the Honey-Do list around the house or the Honey-Do list in order the get the boat prepped and in the water. Last year was our first in the water with this...
Over the winter my AC converter went down and I lost power to my heater and fan in the cabin. A couple of mold spots appeared on the upholstered ceiling. What is the best way to remove these? Would a steam cleaner be out of the question due to the glues used to apply the upholstery to fiberglass?
This is what my SeaDek looks like on my swim platform. I like the thickness and softness on the swim platform because my family does a lot of lounging and playing from there. Lots of time spent hanging out on that pad. Mine is a solid mat with a knobby finish, with just the routed indention's...
My SeaDek was installed last year and it is great. I have two small ones and kids are always off and on the boat. Didn't have to worry about the bust your butt factor. Both my extended and standard swim platforms were done. I would like to have it on the floor at the captains chair. I am fine...
On my swim platform my SeaDek is coming up in two places. (small places, but it gets a lot of foot traffic there). I was going to clean both the pad where it has come up and the fiberglass before putting it back down. What type of adhesive would you use to reapply the SeaDek to the fiberglass...
98 Searay 270 Sundancer - I believe I have a bad AC converter. My Charles Marine Converter (original) keeps blowing its on board fuse. I have disconnected the batteries and tracked the wiring back to the house panel and everything looks fine and clean, yet it continues to blow the fuse.
It is...
I currently have a xantrex pro series constant 1800w - 3600 peak - inverter. It is a modified sine inverter vs. a pure sine inverter. I may reconfigure some of the wiring. Currently the outlets and fridge are on the same house panel switch at 110. I have a switch for the fridge at the helm where...
First post in the thread.... (Actually was directed to Mid-90's posted there, but have since found my way over here with some help, thanks BrianontheBay)
First overnight outing with the family this past weekend. Have stayed with others in the past, but this was a first on our new boat...
