Don't forget your highway gas tax refund

It looks like this refund is available in Massachusetts. They put some barriers in the way, though; you have to also track and report gas usage for your car, so best to start keeping track now...

    SmartCraft Gremlin

Yep, been there. Had this gremlin for a year and a half when we bought Serendipity (she was 2 at the time). Smartcraft does this when power is bad. In our case, we put in new (and higher quality) batteries and she was fine after that. Also turn the mains off and then unplug, check, and clean...

2008 310 Sundancer subwoofer blown? Or amp?

Thanks for the tips. I actually hope it is The speaker, since that's a trivial repair. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    310 Sundancer Thread (2007 & newer)

Stereo distortion problems. Don't want to double-post, but the boat is a 2008 310 Sundancer, so I'll post a link here. Thanks for any help -- Rich http://clubsearay.com/showthread.php/80798-2008-310-Sundancer-subwoofer-blown-Or-amp

2008 310 Sundancer subwoofer blown? Or amp?

I have to go hunting for a problem and I'm hoping someone else on the forum has seen a similar issue and can offer some pointers. Just today my subwoofer (JL Audio) started that charicteristic buzzing noise they get when the cone is torn. But it is a polypropylene cone and looks to be perfect...

Champlain canal system to Long Island Sound

The locks can be done in one day, but it is a very long day; be at the first lock at opening time. We took two since it was a vacation, but if you just want a speed run it is doable. The Hudson River run is an easier day, you can readily do the run to Haverstraw (just north of Tappan Zee) in a...

    Refridgerator

If it cycles like that it is likely low on freon. And if it is actually 20 years old it probably literally does use Freon, which you can't get anymore. Time for an upgrade. If you are extremely lucky, it might just be the door seal. If the door seal look shot, replace that it's cheap repair and...

    Surveyor recommendation, Plattsburgh NY area

Anyone have a recommendation for a good surveyor in the Plattsburgh NY area? If I get over the initial hump would need someone who could check out Volvos / IPS pods too. Thanks! Rich

Kosher 5k starts by itself when shut down????

Second the failing batteries cause. I had a few random starts that disappeared after replacing the aging batteries. You can also make it happen by turning off you cockpit battery switch and immediately turning it back on. More evidence it is tripped by low voltage. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Havastraw Marina & Apple Picking

That was our marina for a while when we lived in New York. Very nice Marina. Big, sprawling, in very good condition generally except the restrooms. Pool for the kids friendly staff at least on the weekends shortstaffed during the week. Nice restaurant. Be sure to cross the bay and anchor out at...

Perko gas cap retaining wire replacement

Does anyone know what's involved in replacing these? Some of mine are shot, so I bought replacement wires. But rather than the simple hook-it-on-the-wire-loop implied on the web sites, it looks like mine (2008 310 Sundancer) have a complicated spring retractor. I think I have to remove the 3...
