I've got a 1998 SR 290 DA, I'm the original owner, great boat, never had any problems with her. Looking to move up to a 340DA so we're selling our 290!

Would bad valve seals cause the engine to loose power? IIsn't 460 hrs. low for rings to go bad? 'm not overly concerned if I need to replace valve seals, I just dread having to replace an engine if the rings are bad. Thanks

Thanks for the info. Is 460 hrs the maximum life of this motor? Now I'm concerned the other engine will need to be replaced soon. Any idea of what a new engine installed should cost. I'm in northern New York.

We just replaced our orignal sunbrella canvas with new Sunbrella. The orinal lasted 10yrs & would recommend using it again!
