Serpentine Belt Cross Reference Chart Automotive to Mercruiser by Length

Great info I was just about to post a question about this after seeing the prices for Mercruiser belts. One question is how do I measure it? Do I fold the belt at both ends and measure the its length then double it (since it is folded)? Or is there a better way?

    270 DA Power Steering Leak

I just got a 99 270 with twin 4.3l's and no power steering. I filled the reservoir in the starboard power steering pump (port is full) and started engine and took out and came back in 10 minutes and it was empty. I don't see any signs of leakage on the hoses/connectors on the front of engine but...

    Mid-90's 270 Sundancer Thread

Hello I am considering a 1999 Sundancer SE with generator and twin 4.3l's with Alpha I's. I previously owned a 268 Sundancer and a 290 Sundancer and wanted a 27'-28' with twins and generator. What are opinions and experiences with this model. Is the 8'6" beam noticeable narrower?

Once you get past that hesitation if you bring the throttle back down later will it do the same again when advancing the throttle? Are they carb'd or FI?

    290 Sundancer Performance

I am suprised I remember the 280 DA's with 5.7's when they first came out doing high 40's unto the 50's on the boat reviews. I do have Alpha I's vs the Bravo III's or II's and wonder does that make a difference. My buddy has a 290 Amberjack and he claims to do 52mph (I remember it doing 40 at...

    290 Sundancer Performance

Also Dennis on a sidenote how does the diesel run. I have been wanting one for awhile and some naysayers talked me outta buying a Suburban diesel and bolting on some mods that are available for increased power. I notice a few are also burning old vegetable oil. I ended up with an Excursion for 2...

    290 Sundancer Performance

Oops sorry forgot to mention it is a 1999 model. Before I put it in the shop I did not go faster than a slow cruise I was told the gimbal ring was in bad shape plus the bellows were in poor condition (replaced all on starboard engine). "Down" river is a local term because I was going from the...

    290 Sundancer Performance

Hello Group I just picked up my 290 from the shop after getting drive work, gimbal ring replacement (many hours), tune up incl all filters and other misc work and while going down the river I noticed that at WOT I got about 37-38 mph on the GPS. I didn't get a chance to check the exact rpms but...
