I’m going with sure step this year. My non skid is neglected and chalky, I’ll post before and after pics. I bought the sure step kit with the cleaner and drill based polishing pad.
Not much slime and there is a ding or two on the second prop. I’ll post a pic next time I go to the boat. I have to finish compounding, polishing and waxing.
That’s what I thought. My props are a little banged up so that may be slowing me down a bit. Those #’s are with 1/2 fuel and just me onboard. I might hit 4800 RPM, it’s been a while since going WOT. Conditions were calm.
What are you guys getting for a top speed?
I'm at 36 MPH by GPS WOT at 4400 - 4600 RPM with
5.7L Merc EFI
Bravo 3
Not sure of prop pitch. Most people seem to be in the 40's I'm feeling slow.
2001 Sundeck 240.
I haven't done the non-skid yet but plan on using sure step. I've read some reviews and watched their youtube video it seems like a good product. I'll let you know once I get it done, it'll probably be a couple of weeks since I still have to compound the stbd side.
So I bought my boat in 2013 and used her for 2 seasons in CT before moving to Hawaii. She was neglected and I really focused on cleaning up the interior (vinyl and stuff) to keep the admiral happy. She was stored from early 2014 to mid 2017. We ran her all last season and mechanically she’s...
I had my i/o in the water for two seasons. You need to pull the boat mid season and clean the bottom and i/o. I was in CT so you may need pull it more or less. Now I'm in a boatel and love it!

Okay, that's a lot more than I was thinking of. I was referring to any typical bow rider but that new 320DA is awesome. What a mix of express cruiser and bow rider. The low freeboard on my sundeck 240 can make for a wet ride when the wind picks up. That 320 looks like it'll keep you dry and...
What type of chop/wind do you boat in? I was caught out on the southern Chesapeake Bay, the wind turned and the chop picked up. Waves were probably 2-3 feet and I felt like we were taking a beating. I prefer to be out on the bay instead of the river but not at the expense of enjoyment.

I'm tipping the dock hands that help when returning or pumping out. They gas me up on the forklift prior to launching so I don't usually see him fill it up.

So, I'm new to the dry storage marina, do you guys tip the staff when they launch your boat? My initial feeling is no if it is just a launch but when gassing up or pumping out then yes. Thoughts please.
