    CO monitor going off

I had the same problem on my boat, then did some checking and discovered that CO detectors have a programmed end of life date. On mine it was printed (EOL) on a little sticker and it was 5 years from manufacture. I had never heard of that, but the tech at our marina suggested I look for the date...

    Throwable storage

Yeah, that's how I did it on my other boats, but my 470 doesn't have a radar arch. It's a hardtop with sliding glass doors. I saw a pic of a 640 Galeon and it was mounted on the rail. Actually didn't look bad, but I question the ease of use and accessibility.

    Throwable storage

Good morning all. I hope, above all, everyone is safe and healthy. Looking for ideas for mounting my ring throwable on our 2015 470 DA. Anyone found a convenient place? Thanks

470/43 DA Owners - Anyone out there?

Hello...new 470 owner here. This summer we purchased a 2015. Love the boat. We've put 115 hours on her since Memorial Day. Love the fully enclosed cabin and no canvas. Don't like the set up for dining. The cockpit table is too small and too close to the seat. The storage is awkward. Good friends...

    Parade of Lights, Washington DC

Went to the Captain's meeting tonite in Alexandria. Looks like 60 boats. Tomorrow is the captains meeting for the DC part of the event. This is our first.

Retractable steps on hydraulic swim platform

Hi John, thanks for the response. I suppose the answer I'm looking for maybe twisted in the various applications I'm seeing and I don't have the manual for my specific unit. I'm heading down to the marina today to talk to service. But, the tech question comes from trying to better understand if...

Retractable steps on hydraulic swim platform

EXACTLY. It's that gap that I'm concerned about. The L550 and others have an integrated set of steps that deploy as the platform goes down. The instructions for the 2013 model GHS are all I could find but, clearly says to stay off of the platform when its moving and to immediately retract it...

Retractable steps on hydraulic swim platform

We usually deployed it about a foot under the water in protected coves. No real major rocking of the boat. I'd get the occasional wake but nothing big.

Retractable steps on hydraulic swim platform

This came straight from the manual I found online today from the manufacturer "After launching your PWC, NEVER leave the platform in the down position. Always return the platform to the waterline or all the way up. As a point of interest, most large swim platforms have an area of approx 70 sq...

Retractable steps on hydraulic swim platform

Hope everyone is well. This may be a crazy idea, but my wife was asking about installing retracting (for lack of a better term) steps in our GHS swim platform on our 2015 470DA. We purchased the boat in June this year and love it. This is, however, our first hydraulic platform, so we're still...

    Back in a Sea Ray!!!

I've been cheating with another brand. Went to a Regal 4260. The layout was really nice, especially below. But, finding a Volvo mechanic was difficult. I started working at the local Sea Ray dealer doing on water deliveries and training and accidentally invited my wife down after work one day...
