Turned out that searay does something different with the power for the smartcraft and both power leads by the CAN harness from both motors needed to be unplugged. All is operational again as it should be.. now time to seatrial and break them in!

Hey guys currently looking at 52 sundancer with the man r6-800s. Have not been able to find much info about this combination. Not sure what the cruise/top speed is, could only find specs with the qsm11 660 cummins.. This paricular boat has about 4k hours not sure if it has been rebuilt yet...

Both.. its been in the water a while now.. so I replaced the fuel pump, pressure back up to around 43 psi but while i was actually doing that i had a diver cleaning the bottom.. went for a test ride, def have more power but still off ..WOT 4000 port/ 3500ish starboard i think i saw around 34 mph...

Did u get the low fuel pressure sorted?

Yeh i hope i dont break any bolts.. 358 and 264 for the high and low pumps.. sierra has a direct replacement for the low pressure for about 188 but i decided to get everything one place and hopefully get it in time for the weekend

I may have had 10 gallons or so of 2 or 3 year old gas in there but i added 70 gallons of fresh fuel a few months ago and no change.. i usually put 90 rec unless i have absolutely no choice.. its prob been at least 4 or 5 years since it has seen ethanol..... just ordered the hi and low pressure...

Hey Guys, i posted this a year or 2 back as i havent really been using the boat much but i did manage to finally tune up a bunch of things. So basically my 290 sunsport has been struggling to get up on plane for quite some time, i use to be able to get to 42 mph now it struggles to get to 28...

thanks for the reply's guys , will head to the slip possibly tonight after work.. i hope its not the pump, i do remember seeing the little filter and it was black, i also noticed some kind of black build up on the throttle plate, im hoping its just a filter issue.. will report back with my findings

Hey Guys, having an issue with one of my motors.. its USUALLY dies at idle and i have to give it a little bit of throttle to get it started, sometimes it will stay running at idle and other times it will die ( see video below ) . I can smell that its running really rich and can see very faintly...

so I swapped over the starter solenoid but still no dice, just as I was about to call it a day I held down the starter switch and jiggled the shifter even tho it was in neutral, bingo...….fired right up.... so thanks for reminding me to check that. as far as just loosing all power...
