We have deep waters out here in California. I have 300feet of anchor rode plus the 25' of chain. I think the anchor locker can hold twice what I have. If you have the windlass make sure you use the correct size chain and rope. Best, Rich

My 280 is a 2007 and it has a switch to turn it on and off on my main electric paned downstairs and I think that is it. Was the shore power on? ie: microwave working...?

Regarding your RPMs the Port has a higher RPM and therefore has less load. It could be your trim tabs or maybe there was a slight side current and you were turning just slightly to go straight this will tip the boat to the windward side and increase drag. If you were a sterndrive one outdrive...

Looks great! Is it different from the usual isinglass material?

My sense is the problem is in the senders because both types of gauges are in agreement. It could also be a wireing / ground thing. I would start by spend an hour with an electrical meter trying to make sense of it or call a smart mechanic. :) Good luck, Rich
