No need to do anything with the steps. The frig just pulls right out. May have to jiggle it a little. I changed my AC out as soon as I got my 2007 40 almost two years ago. Good access and easy area to work in.

Good info. Just curious, but how much did it cost per gallon of oil? Can usually get a gallon of 15-40 (Delo or Rotello) at Walmart for under $20 each. Sometimes as low as $14 each.

    Your air filter assembly, basically.

Rotella or Delo 15-40. I also change my transmission fluid and clean filters. Airseps if you have not cleaned them in a few years. Then before I recommission, I will change my impellers. I do fuel filters every few years.

Is it a direct replacement for the SC5000? Just plug and go? I have a 2007 40DA with the QSB 380s.

Operating while in full trimmed up position

Just remember the higher you trim up, the more torque it puts on your u-joints. Go up too far with RPMs too high and they can bind. Its extra wear and tear on the U-joints when you do this.

Mine are all Group 31s. They were swapped out with no issues.

Tabs are R3 or R4. Shafts are 1.75 inch. I would use aluminum. From the factory, they did not come with shaft zincs. If your bonding system is in good shape, and you have 1ohm or less resistance between your shaft and bonding system, there is not need for shaft zincs. I only have the Divers...

I have Cummins. You will need a Gateway to see the data though. It doesn't just plug in. The Gateway is appx $500.

Did the exact same thing. I did get a gateway so I could see engine data on the new Axiom 12+ RV I installed though. I also connect my radio via NMEA 2000, and my AP via a NMEA 0183 converter. Still have the E120 on the left and the older analog RADAR.

Have you tried Flounder Pounder? Think it may just be a simple Carling momentary switch. Grainger would have them too.

There is a writeup in the manual. Believe yours is ZF 80IV. Filters are $45 at SB Marine. Easy job.
