Not sure on the larger motor in your 240, but I did it your way on my old 20' Glastron. Since I'm at a yard now, I have it winterized by them. As you read, you should be able to drain the block in several places and then possibly open the thermostat to get some of the pink in. As you read, I am sure there is a way to do this without running with the muffs.
