    Buying a 2004 270 Sundeck... Help

Rob, The boat wouldn't be the 270 at Spend A day Marina would it? Lazy Daze - I pull my 260 SD with a Yukon XL. Not the best tow vehicle in the world but does fine. I also take my time and not act like fool on the road. If I am in a hurry oh well.

    Launching and Retrieving Alone

I launch and load my 260 solo all the time. The best piece of advice I have is to take your time and do not be rushed by the goof balls at the ramp. Once you establish a good mental checklist and learn to keep your cool, things fall into place just fine.

Engine Guardian ruins my 4th of July

Cagnoli - I wish you were having better luck. We just got back from 11 days on Norris Lake TN and I see all of this. The only problem I seem to not have solved is the warning I get that says "Fault Lever 1". It is some type of DTS error. The bad part is that you have to turn the ignition...

    Fault level 1

The dealer seems to think that the battery switch was not fully engaged. I do remember the switch not feeling the same when I turned the batteries off. The boat is in the shop having the 20 hour service. They said they would check it to make sure. I did run the boat once after I had the...

    Gearing question

No problem Cagnoli, I know I will be asking for some suggestions at some point. We are getting ready to head to Norris Lake TN on June 26 for a couple of weeks. Not looking forward to the 300 mile tow. I hope with 20+ hours I don't have any issues outside of the astronomical amount of fuel we...

    Gearing question

Cagnoli - Took the boat out yesterday with 6 kids and one other adult. We were able to cruise at 30-32 MPH running 3100 on the tach. The GPS still showed us running high 40's at 4800 RPM. How hard is it to get the dealer to look at your boat? When I got a bad response from one of the...

    Gearing question

It does run through the RPM's fairly fast, but not too fast. I still cannot believe how quick the boat gets out of the hole. I had a head start on the hours, the boat had 14 on it when I got it. We have not wakeboarded behind it but we did ski. It will definitely pull the stumps out of the...

    Gearing question

Cagnoli, My 260SD has the 26P prop set. I am sitting at 21 hours. We ran the boat for a short period at WOT. The Speedo showed right about 50mph/4800rpm. The GPS showed 47.5. We also had 1/2 tank of fuel, 9 people on board and the water tank full. I spent quite a bit of time figuring out...

Sirius Radio on Clarion CMD4 says Linking

Mine is doing the exact same thing. I will run through the checklist above and see if that fixes the problem.

    Fault level 1

My SmartCraft is in the tach. This was not the typical beep alarm it gives off. this was a high pitched squeel almost. Just said Fault Level 1

    Fault level 1

Had an alarm go off on the boat yesterday. The smartcraft readout displayed "Fault Level 1" I was in the water getting ready to ski when this happened. I checked all the fluids, etc.. Nothing obvious. I reset the alarm and went on about our business. A couple hours later it goes off again...

Which key to use in the glove compartment?

My old 200 Select used the ignition key to unlock the glove box. At first it did not seem to fit well. After a few times of fighting with it it worked. The key went all the way until the rubber coating hit the latch. What I found out was that I had to have the key at an angle going in to...

    Stowing Bimini on Waketower?

Cagnoli - Mine lays back against the tower and has two straps that wrap around the tower. I have the same tower. I will have the boat out of storage later this week. I can take a couple of pictures if you want. Did I understand your question? You can see the bimini in the pics I posted in...

RumbleFish is in the Water! (Pics)

Cagnoli, Nice boat. The Corsa is kind of fun. I did the same thing when I first launched the boat. Flipped the switch and watched the heads turn. I sent you a PM.

    New to the forum/new boat

The ride is unbelievably better. It cuts through the chop like it wasn't even there. We have only had the boat in the water once since we bought it. We ran through some pretty rough stuff with no problems. I need to practice with the tabs. They definitely helped keep the boat level. The...
