I agree with Bill 100%, it was a complete disaster. We left about 30 minutes ahead of the Gunpowder group that Bill led and figured it would be organized like prior years and we would all end up rafted together. Well it didn't happen that way. When we arrived there were already a hundred...
Thanks for including us in the list, we are gonna follow Sandy's Beach over after Aquapalooza. Can't wait!! I'm sure it is gonna be a blast!! I hope the weather stays nice and it will be a beautiful night on the water. You can add Bob & Amy from Gunpowder to your list, they will be bringing...
As some of the posters that obviously have experience towing trailers have stated, alot more than just physically pulling the trailer needs to be taken into consideration. Engine, transmission, brakes, and suspension all play a valid role in trailering a large load. Zorba had a great point...
Yes, your truck can tow a 280 on a trailer. NO, it CAN NOT do it safely or legally. After you factor the weight of the trailer and the boat loaded up, your will be way over your trucks tow rating. Not only will you not be able to stop correctly, that load will push your truck all over the...
The data I provided before is from smart craft. It is pretty close as I obviously monitor how much fuel I put in the boat and how many nautical miles I travel. It is by no means my average, just what I burn at a typical cruise speed. Again, my cruise speed can fluctuate between 28-30MPH...
Right on Bill!! I absolutely love our 280 with the single 496 Bravo III. Best decision ever was to buy this particular boat with the single motor. While I understand twins have their +'s, you just dont absolutely need them on this boat. It performs very well with the single. I have half the...
Man I gotta agree with you guys regarding that cup holder. Mine was broken when we took delivery of the boat so they fixed it for us and now it is broken again....Im gonna have to look into the model that Boat a Bing has...Thanks for posting the pic
I as well would much rather do another date because of Aquapalooza but hey, I didn't come up with the good idea so i'll be a team player and go when everyone does! It will be a long, tiring ride after all day at Aquapalooza!!!
Been really busy with work and the winter honey do list!! Boordys sounds fun, I will e-mail ya. Followin each other up there sounds like a good idea, add the date to the website!!
Count us in as well. Look forward to meeting everyone. We are in the same predicament as Sandys Beach, we also would like to attend Aquapalooza. Hopefully we can hook up with someone near the red dot as i'm sure yellow will be full!!
Don't forget to check Craigslist! I'm not sure if lots of people use it in your area but in Maryland it is invaluable. I find tons of stuff on it and have seen numerous dock boxes for sale over the years. Even if you dont see one, you could post a wanted ad.
Still trying to decide if its worth it.....Had an ignition problem earlier this year and it did not help a bit. I understand plug wires are a wear and tear item but gimme a break, the boat was just purchased and it was only one wire! I thought that is what these extra-add on warranties should...
I too have nothing but good things to say about MarineMax. When I have needed service, they have handled it promptly for a reasonable price. When I do service myself, they always make sure I complete the job correctly and have the proper tools. Our service manager knows us on a first name...
