Will be on Amelia Island late winter. In preparation for future ICW cruising, I hope to spend a day on a captained boat.
We have never cruised the waterway and want to get a feel for it. Things like:
running in and out an inlet
anchoring
negotiating a drawbridge
entering a marina or two...
Good advise. Manual suggests I must tell it to create the track, then save/rename it for future reference. Not real intuitive, I'd rather it just lay a track behind me all the time.
Thanks
2005 vintageC120 with new Navionics card. Every other marine GPS I've owned(small Garmins on fishing boats) leaves a trail on the screen of where I've been. Makes it nice for the return trip.
This Raymarine plotter leaves no such trail, and I can't find a setting that turns that feature on...
Just moved 390 MY to new location. New slip has a double 30 amp hookup. My boat is 50 amp. I'm told I need a pigtail fitting to split my 50 socket into two 30's.
to me that sounds like 60 amps coming into the boat. Is that OK?
Also, the slip hook ups are GFI protected. A neighbor told me...
Thanks to all for the replies. The top has been removed and we are set to transport next week. The dis-assembly boatyard is very impressed with the SeaRay components and the related engineering. He has been in discussion with the receiving boatyard and hopefully the re-assembly will go...
Yes the top is coming off, and a bunk is being fabricated for it to ride along on the front of the trailer. They tell me the electronic components can remain attached to the top. Shrink wrap sounds like a good idea. Did you encounter any trouble with the "reassembly"? It all looks pretty...
Pelican Point Yacht Club. The boat is arriving there early June. This boat used to reside in Wilmington. It was called the "Sea Bees". Do you know it by chance?
Bless you Dan. I'm going to need all the help I can get. We went from a pretty simplistic Chaparrel 30 to this beast. I'm more than a little intimidated by all the switches, valves, filters, etc.
Good advise from you all. But one stupid question: What is WOT??

Just purchased a 2005 390 MY. Should be delivered within a few weeks. It is my first diesel powered boat.
I'm told I need not run the bilge blowers prior to starting a diesel, but instead should run the blowers during slow cruising and/or after powering down to help cool the engine room...
Just bought a 2005 390. She is in great shape but want to apply new striping and decals. Dealer says not available after 5 years. Seems to me that's about when they should be available.
Anyone encountered this? Maybe some aftermarket option?
