    Electrical equipment over the winter?

What does one do with the electrical equipment that cannot be removed from the boat over the winter (especially in the North East and other rather cold areas of the country)? I am specifically referring to the GPS and any other electrical equipment that are affixed to the boat. We are planning...

The official '99-'04 260DA Sundancer thread

I am jealous of both you and Todd for being able to keep your respective boats indoors! Our garage is way too small (height-wise) and the local boat yards that offer indoor storage are charging an arm and both legs. Serenity will be stored outside this winter. Alicia

Is the transom tilt switch to make loading the boat on a trailer easier? Joe and I are currently enjoying lounging on our 260 while slipped at our marina (still having some engine issues). Have to love the 1999-2004 cockpit layout!

Recommendations for a Master Marine Electrician?

Phil came today to install the ProMariner charger and the remote helm display on our boat. He was great; very professional, on time and efficient. He already had his insurance certificate on file with the marina so he was able to come right into the marina without any problems. He had a...

Bow Thruster Charger- ProTech-4 - Failed

Thanks for clarifying. I could not remember which setting was for which type of battery. My point was that different types of batteries required different settings on the charger. I obviously did not express that clearly enough. Newbie mistake! I'll go back to reading posts :smt001

Bow Thruster Charger- ProTech-4 - Failed

Perhaps he did not change the settings on the charger from the 1 hour setting for the lead acid to the 3 or 4 hour settings for the gel or AGM?

Bow Thruster Charger- ProTech-4 - Failed

I second Mistercomputerman's recommendation for you to call Jim at ProMariner or any of his staff. Our ProTech 4 charger just died. ProMariner was extremely helpful in helping us diagnose the problem and, when we decided just to replace the 9 year old charger, they help us select the...

What You Don't Want to See...

How long will it take for the hull to dry out and what process are you using to dry it out? This sounds like an interesting project especially since you don't have to use your own funds to restore!

    Why are slip's so expensive?

Ours is $1350 for the season (April 1 to Nov. 1) for 22' to 27' boat and includes electricity, water, 24 hour security, and free pump out. Gas was about $3.00 for most of the summer for 89 octane (highest was $3.08 over the 4th of July weekend).

260 Sundancer Thread.........Comments questions and answers

What batteries do everyone have on their 260's? We will have to change our 2 lead-acid batteries in the off-season and wanted to see what everyone else has before deciding to stay with the lead-acid or to go for the deep cycle or AGM batteries. I thought about posting this question as a...
