Tell me about your SEI experience

I installed an SEI upper on my old boat in 2010. Still working fine. Paint held up pretty good but it was a trailered boat. I then put a pair on my 300 last spring. I have probably 75 hours on them, mixed use, with no problems. There are some areas of isolated corrosion I noticed when I pulled...

What did you/ should you actually pay?

I have been browsing quite a bit for new boat here on Lake Michigan. Generally looking at late 90s- early 2000s 30-34 foot inboard cruising/ fishing boats (1997+ 330 express/340 AJ is one at the top of my list) One thing that puzzles me is the pricing on a lot of these boats. Often times the...

1987 AJ 270 and the Raymarine EV-100 autopilot (will they work together)

You are most certainly going to have cable steering on that boat, so no, the EV100, or any hydraulic autopilot, isn't going to work as it sits. You can convert to hydraulic steering for about $1000 if you do the work, or buy an Octopus drive to actuate the existing cable steering. Either way...

What uses the same cables as Garmin 2006C?

You would at a minimum have to change the power cable to use a newer series like the 4208 for instance. Existing GPS antenna will need to be wired to NMEA port. Or go with a 740 with built in antenna; even less fuss. Either way, nothing newer is going to plug and play with the cable from a 2006C.

    C 80 No Fix?

Red means dead on the Raystar 125. The battery has no effect on the operation besides saving the last known position so it doesn't take forever to get initial power on fix.

Lets see some Great Lakes boating pics 2015!!

All done for the year as well. The 30+ MPH winds didn't make anyone's life easy for haul out. Got the tech looking at my starboard motor, it may have to come out. It was slinging oil from the timing cover seal at cruising RPM. Sucks!

    Official 1980's Weekender/Sundancer 300 thread

Has anyone on here had their cockpit upholstery redone lately? Trying to get a ballpark on what to expect to pay. Looking to do the rear bench, side comings, helm seating etc. basically everything that's vinyl outside of the cabin on a sundancer. I don't believe any of the wood boards are...

WTB: Camper back set up 80's 300DA

No problem. I don't see myself getting rid of it any time soon so if you do come up with a way to pick it up or get it there, let me know.

WTB: Camper back set up 80's 300DA

Not looking like shipping is going to be possible. It's way over UPS, Fed Ex and USPS max dimensions, and that's before being packed/wrapped.

WTB: Camper back set up 80's 300DA

Thanks, yeah the mooring cover really works great for off season storage, before the shrink wrap goes on and after it comes off. I don't usually use it while the boat is in the water, it's easier to leave the Bimini and side curtains up instead. Anyways, I'm not at all against shipping it...

WTB: Camper back set up 80's 300DA

I have the rear bimini frame in this photo. Might have some of the mounts and stuff but that's all pretty universal. Location may be an issue cuz I think it's too big to ship (its all one piece). If you have a friend or family in SE WI/Chicago to pick it up?

I bought the chrome rings for my old boat after I lost one of the originals. They looked pretty good. Unfortunately started to pit after about a year, but for the money...

Same for you, there's always beer in the fridge and I'm usually at the boat tinkering with something or another just about every afternoon. Zack
