Been on the water for majority of my life, from our family Barretta, our 26 bayliner and the my fathers 32 Marinette I grew up on Lake Erie and even worked for MM in early 2000s so have always loved the Searay brand. My first boat on my own was a 73 240 SRX weekender.. we loved it but outgrew it quickly. Our good friends put their 75 32 Marinette up for sale and it seemed like an easy move considering we were familiar with the Marinette brand. We sold our Searay and bought the sedan bridge. We loved our boat for the next 8 years, and in 2016 we had our son.. in 2017 I was diagnosed with a brain tumor and things started to change. The bridge and the layout of our Marinette was no longer very suitable for having the little guy, and though the tumor was removed my abilities started to become less. I knew for years I wanted another Searay and was beginning to think about how precious each day week, month and year were so I decided to put the Marinette on the market and search for our new Searay! We knew we wanted a 32-34 as we didn’t want to change our dock (right next to my father), and it seemed most practical budget wise and economically speaking. I came across a listing for a gorgeous boat in Maryland and my wife and I drove up to see it in early April (actually my birthday weekend) I knew it was the boat for us at first sight! Super clean and well cared for, upgrades and all the family comforts I knew we needed! We were sold and made the offer that day! The offer was accepted that same day and the broker called us as we were driving 6 hours home to CLE! Sea trial and survey were phenomenal and she’s now all mine.. just waiting on shipping and should have her home at her new dock by mid May!! So looking forward to many years aboard our new boat! And so looking forward to being part of this great Searay owners community! “Where Land Ends, Life Begins!”
