Is there a quick fix for the avacado counter/table?

Our boat is in fabulous interior condition, but I really don't care for the darkness of the avacado counters/tabletop. I suppose painting here is a really bad idea? From the few camper/online stores I have checked, I can't find any over-lay type material....is there anything like that out there...

    Cetol or Teak oil?

Very interesting! My hubby and his Dad did a complete refurbish of a 25' Bayfield and they used Cetol, but the link states to use just Tide and spray! The teak on our boat has what seems like dark grooves in it, but maybe it is just dirt? I like more brown vs the silver gray of ours also.

    Cetol or Teak oil?

What do most of you do? Our boat hasn't had anything done in many years, and will be stored out of the elements. Since it has been so long since the wood has been treated, we want to do what is best for the wood?

New Classic Sea Ray owner 1979 260 Sundancer

Nice looking boat! We became new owners of our vintage 260 last July and it has been so much fun (after Hubby overhauled the dual outdrives, lol) Just getting started on the Boat's Spring projects now! Enjoy your boat, and welcome home!

Need new hatch for anchor compartment?

We have been looking for a new hatch for our anchor compartment online, and are amazed at the price variations from $33.00-$299.00 for a 11X19! Does anyone have experience with ordering a hatch from an online company? Our trim is the dark green, and would like to replace both the anchor and...

    Starting the upholstery work

Amazing restoration! I want to update our upholstery of our 1982 260 Sundancer, but I may hold off until I can manage doing the cushions and the wall liners/ceiling, etc. It makes such a dramatic improvement! I couldn't get the videos to work but got a great sense of what was done through the...

Outstanding boat!! My husband and I really enjoyed looking at the work you have done, what a dream boat now! We are likely one of those newbies you mentioned earlier, lol. We bought a 1982 260 Sundancer in July, and Nate rebuilt the upper gearcases and away we went!! Now it is time to...

Oh yeah...it was a fun weekend!! After 2 new outdrives, we finally put the boat to good use! Cruising on Namakan, Northern MN with Canada bordering the other shoreline, it was beautiful! Chilly morning at around 35 degrees, but we stayed warm!! We had a bit tilt starboard side which hubby...

Launched our 1982 260 Sundancer today!

Did you pull the carpet out from under the cabinets also? Hubby and I are worried that could be quite a project. We bought a gray piece of carpet and cut it to shape and threw it down for now. Flexiteek floor sounds outstanding!! Do you have pics? These avacado marble colored counters...

No responses to the slider curtain. I am going to see if i can find some sort of aftermarket curtain that will work, or just take it down now if i can figure out how.

Launched our 1982 260 Sundancer today!

Most of the cushions are free-only 4 are attached around the table I believe. I want to re-do the counter, table top and fridge panal also, but that will wait untill next summer. The table is odd. I am not sure if it was aftermarket, but it appears that the boothes were equipt for the table...
