Doesn't the distal end of the shade twist off relative to the end (base) containing the bulb? Looks like should be able to twist along that seam.

Hurricane tire out stitching from a few panels of canvas. Can someone give me a ballpark estimate on new canvas. Current canvas is 4-5 years old. Also thinking of updating from brown to blue or green. Advice appreciated. Steve
