Looking to buy an '03 Sundeck 220

Well, I already bought the 220 because price was right. I'll get it running and see how it is. A 240 would be nice, though.

Looking to buy an '03 Sundeck 220

Not too much waterworks, just some on occasion. Usually just me and the wife, but sometimes 2-6 addition people. Some large (not extra large, lol) some not. It has an Alpha 1. Main benefit is that it has a head, which our current boat is lacking.

Looking to buy an '03 Sundeck 220

Looking for advice. I'm interested in purchasing an '03 Sundeck 220 that needs a repower. Obviously can't sea trial. Any common issues to look out for on these? Assuming the rest of the boat is ok, what's a fair price to pay? I haven't seen it yet. Don't know the hours. Seller states he has...

It does and I've replaced it already.

Yes, it's supposed to run rich until it warms up. Mine gets worse the warmer the engine gets. I was going to ask how you like it, but since you've had it all this time, I'm guessing you'repretty happy with it. It's a nice boat, I'm looking forward to being on the water with it. I've pretty...

MEFI 1 and no, I haven't spoken to them.

Yes, its an EST. I figured replacing a 23 year old part would be prudent for future reliability. There was nothing wrong, other than the possibility of the ignition module being bad and throwing the code 42.

1999 5.7 TBI fuel pressure too high

I replaced the original, 23 year old distributor with a brand new marine distributor made by DUI. https://www.jegs.com/i/Dixie+Racing+Products/314/M12620BL/10002/-1?gclid=CjwKCAjwo_KXBhAaEiwA2RZ8hM6ulRDBl2TSq9xWcIbMR7iYMs9CcKjnFz9K1LAlqcuccVb6bGIMXRoCUfcQAvD_BwE

No Rinda, unfortunately. I'm jumping the pins and counting flashes. I don't have access to another ECM.

Yes timed in base timing mode. Jumped the two DLC pins while running, 8 degrees at 1200 RPM, remove jumper. Timing advances to 37 total at higher RPM. I forgot to record what RPM the total advance was, but it was near where I expected. How does it get stuck in base timing mode? I assume since...

What do you mean? What distributor does it prefer and what's the difference?

It has 20" of vacuum at idle so I don't think there's a mechanical problem, but I will check compression anyway.

1999 5.7 TBI fuel pressure too high

I replaced the entire distributor, but I still have the code 42. Checked the wires from the distributor to the ECM 16 way from Sunday and they're all good. Did find some green corrosion in the terminals of the distributor connector, took it apart, cleaned and "tweaked" them for a better...

Ignition Control Module in the distributor. Coolant sensor, cap, rotor and coil are new. No air temp sensor. I believe I have two problems, one being the high fuel pressure causing it to run rich and a different problem causing the bog/hesitation.

    Nice conical mist no droplets.
