If you check this thread, you will find lots of Lanier posts. Ditto to Capt Jason. Cold and windy with some rough "seas" Sat. Didn't win anything but low country boil was great!
My 5.7 Mag is pushing 725 hrs. Not one problem. Have full engine service every 2 years, and change oil every 80-90 hours. Have been running full synthetic past 2 years. Always fresh water. I could sell my used oil and maybe make a profit. Just kidding! Use your boat and take care of it and it...
I agree with many of the posts above. Why are you sending a letter instead of the owner? Or are you really the owner, just trying to be a friend. Doesn't make sense.
This sounds to me like the IAC. I believe it means idle adjustment controller. I just had the same thing happen to me for the second time in 6 years. It was replaced yesterday and all is well.
Where I am on Lake Lanier in GA, I have always been with Boat U.S. Have used them twice in the past 3 years and with excellent results. No charge for battery boost. Get the upgraded policy for sure, what an insurance policy to have.
Reading this post makes me want to ask the question, "What is normal" when you turn your wheel before anything happens? Mine has about 2 inches of "free play" at the rim of the wheel before stern drive turns. Input please.
