To the ones with stereo upgrades and higher power amps ->

You are invited.... just bring lots of Jager! So I guess I will do the generator thing. It's not like I can hear it over the music anyway. Thanks for all the responses!

To the ones with stereo upgrades and higher power amps ->

I have [2] batteries which I do switch it to use only one for deep discharge when I'm anchored leaving the other for starting. I guess I'm just curious on how fast it would actually discharge with a 700W amp and cranking music for an extended period of time. My extended period of time usually...

To the ones with stereo upgrades and higher power amps ->

I am going to replace my stock stereo system with new components, add a sub, and an amp. I have a few basic questions that I cannot seem to find the answer to on the forums. We like our music loud and usually listen for extended periods of time so I was wondering: If I upgrade my setup with a...

    Stereo System Info Needed

Did you add any additional batteries or other components to handle all the extra power? Or do you only crank it up when connected to shore power or running your gene? Anyway, sounds like a sweet setup. I'm in the process of trying to figure out what I want to do with mine and I have all sorts...

    Trim tab questions

From everything that I have read, there is no need to change it. If you did want to change it, you could siphon it out of the reservoir with the tabs fully retracted. The refill hole on my reservoir is no more than 1/4" so it would be a slightly troublesome. A syringe with about 4" of plastic...

    Trim tab questions

Mine is setup this way also! To me this makes sense because I think of pushing the button that will make that side of the bow go down. Also to answer some of your questions: You use ATF fluid like Dextron. If you are low, you most likely have a leak as previously stated. My Bennett system has...

    A Geyser of Leak!

I finally got a chance to install the upper hinge today. It wasn't too hard aside from removing the existing adhesive. Holy crap that is some *tough stuff* to remove and clean off! I used some 4200 to put it back on, tested, and it seemed to work without any leaks! I'll toss it in the water next...

    Gone ...ahhhhh

I'll second that. The weather has been warmer than normal to the point of almost setting record highs!

    A Geyser of Leak!

Tom, I really appreciate that! I will go check tomorrow to verify the size and get back with you. Thank you again! Jeff

    A Geyser of Leak!

I was out the other day and noticed that the tabs were not helping. Once I got into the marina I investigated and noticed that when I used the tabs they didn't move, but I could hear the motor. I also noticed some ATF in the water. I checked the reservoir and it was empty. I had the boat put...

    Sounds good. Thanks! :smt001

Does rust mean replace exhaust riser?

I'm going to assume they are the original ones. The maintenance on this boat before me looked to be VERY minimal, but it only had 74 hours on it as a 5 yr old boat. I know this is a tough question to ask since you don't know my skill-level, but in general is this a DIY-type of task as far as the...

Does rust mean replace exhaust riser?

I started poking around the engine a little more today after fixing my gene and A/C and noticed this: So I did a little research but I couldn't find too much of what I was looking for aside from people replacing them. I checked the other side it it looked fine. It doesn't sound too difficult...

Kohler 5E Generator and A/C Problems

I check all the way up to the heat exchanger. I don't think I got 100% unfortunately. I think some small pieces may be further in the heat exchanger and beyond if possible. The flow of water out the side seemed "normal" so I just let it go. We shall see!
