Update on the 1977 Sea Ray srv 220 ov Hardtop

I've had the boat in the water for 3 seasons and this is my forth. When I bought the boat I had it checked out at a marine shop that I've used for years. After their inspection they were amazed how dry the boat was. Transom and stringers are as sound as the day the boat was built. Even after...

Wow, that's a well kept boat. Looks like all you need to do is clean up that teak wood. Thanks for the pictures. Cheers Metabo

    1982 210 Cuddy anchor hatch.

hey kybishop, I just noticed that it appears that your hatch is on backwards. Mine opens from the front and folds out of the way while messing with the anchor. I think there is a photo in one of my albums that shows this. Cheers, Metabo

    1982 210 Cuddy anchor hatch.

Nice job on the hatch kybishop. The color is dead on for the hatch. The hatches on my boat are original and they are white and the boat is more of an almond color. When you teak oil the teak wood take it off the boat and give it a light sanding before you oil. I bought a can of Minwax teak...

Update on the 1977 Sea Ray srv 220 ov Hardtop

Well, it's been a while since I've posted anything. I uncovered the old Sea Ray early this spring and began taking on some much needed to do projects. I removed all three lids from the back of the boat. Two are lids for built in ice chests and the center one was for the stowing of ropes and...

    77 SRV220- should I repair it

Wow! That is going to be a lot of work. I've been working on the teak wood on my searay and am thinking of redoing the carpet. I can't even imagine taking on the job you are about to do. Good luck in what ever you decide to do.

Classic 1975 SRV 240 HT Canvas hunt

You should be able to go to a local canvas shop and have one made. That's what I did for my old SRV 220.

    Painting hull question

Thanks everyone. The reason I want to paint is the blue color is almost gone. I have a buffer, same kind the pros use. I also have the right kind of pads and compounds. If you check out my photo bucket you will see the results that I got on the top of the boat (the off white part). The blue...

Can you use awlgrip below the water line. My boat is never in the water for more than a few days at a time. It is always trailer-ed to and from the water. Thanks

    1977 SeaRay srv220 Hardtop

Hello Thom, My boat is now shrunk wrapped and I can't get you any measurements until spring. I had the camper cover made by a canvas shop. The total cost was $1600.00. I had the original camper covers, but he didn't use them to figure out the dimensions. He said they build the new covers...
