Took me a couple of different tries, but I got the right ones from a mercruiser dealer. Made a big difference. I can still hear them flap at idle, but they no longer rattle.
Looks like the forecast is going to be too cold for us. We were at PIB last Friday night with the North East wind it was very cold. Left early Saturday with temps at ~ 55 drove home to NW Ohio to 80+ degrees!
Kinda what I expected. The bands are free! Going to give it shot if the weather holds. Probably dock at the city docks and boat back to the marina for overnight. Thanks!
I hear you, ground is too wet to get the boat pulled out from the barn it is stored in. I have some work to do to get ready for launch. Worked every day from January until now to get my basement remodel done so that it would not interfer with the prep and boating season. Now I am just...
Thanks Casey,
I have looked these over online before. I might try and use the public dock for the evening then head back to the marina for the night. Not sure if this dock fills up or not during this event? Looks like only enough room for 4 to 5 smaller boats. With the weather we are having so...
Has anyone attended this festival in the past?

A couple bands that we like are playing Friday and Saturday nights. The “Earth Quarkers” and “Midnight Special”. Just wanted to know where the best place to get a slip for a couple...

This is a really great site. Just ordered the charts online, this will give me something to do until the cold passes and it is time to start getting the boat ready for splash. I know what you mean about zooming in and out, especially in a place with so many nooks and crannies. Two plotters would...
Yes I believe that is a big benefit to trailering. Areinsects a problem onboard? I do not have screens and where I boat now it is nota problem.
It looks like there are some beautiful hiking areas, arethere areas that are restricted or pretty much go where you please?
Doug, great information, my wife and I have never been intocamping so we like to eat out and mostly just snack on the boat. After viewingsome of the photos and reading the blogs from cruisers in the North Channel I am defiantly going to give it some consideration. We canuse this year to practice...
Doug,
This is my first post on this site. Cruising the North Channel always intrigued me but I did not know if a trailer boatwas a viable option. I never could find good information on the web concerningtrailering a power boat up there. I know I won't have the opportunity to makethe trip this...
