    420 DA Thread

Mark them, and remove and clean them. Worked for me on this and other boats. Add a little liquid Tide laundry detergent to your holding tank once in a while will help keeps things working.

    Salon A/C replacement on a 2006 44 DA

I am referring to a 420/440 DA. Anyone who did this, were you able to remove the old unit somehow through the triangle without cutting anything? Central vac is already removed and out of the hole.

    Salon A/C replacement on a 2006 44 DA

The A/C unit in the salon on my 06 44DA now sounds like a coffee grinder. The blower fan is about to fail and I assume it is best to just put in a new unit. I would like to hear from anyone who has gone through this, suggestions for what appears to be a difficult removal, and also what did you...

    Major QSC engine work

I am noticing oil coming from my starboard engine raw water pump as well. First it was a couple of drops, now seems more. I am going to check the mounting flange for tightness, but I am fearing the worst. Does anyone have a part number for the pump, both Cummins and Sherwood, and what I might be...

    420 DA Thread

Here are before and after pictures of my adding a power switch and new fuse block dedicated to the electronics. The fuse block on the right was always on with the breaker in the engine room. The fuse block on the left is just added and now switched at the helm. I moved five circuits from the...

    Official Cummins QSC-500 Thread

It’s not a dumb question. I run one engine at a time at idle, seacock is OPEN. The result is flushing with about 80-90% fresh water circulating. That is to flush after use. When winterizing, there is a five gallon bucket hooked up filled with non-tox anti freeze and the seacock is closed. I use...

I did drill and tap on to the cap. I bought a new set of caps and kept the old ones as spares. It works like a charm.

    Official Cummins QSC-500 Thread

This is what I added to my strainers after spending $15K to service my boat after purchase. The entire raw water side was gone through, after coolers replaced. When I know my boat will sit more than a couple of days, I flush them, ONE AT A TIME, sea cocks OPEN as per Tony Athens. This process...
