Ha! You're right Mr Happy. I am going to feel really bad if I have to come back to you guys in the Spring with a long list of problems with my new Chaparral! Hopefully not, but you never know.

I agree, go back to your dealer. Tell him you've heard from owners of other manufacturers boats that Sea Ray fit and finish isn't what it used to be. Tell him you bought the brand becasue of their reputation. Ask him if it's because they're outsourcing more of their work to Mexico...
1) Thanks to everyone for the great advice.
2) I bought the Chaparral, it's loaded, got a good deal, positive experience with this dealer for many years, etc.
I think Sea Ray is a very fine boat and will consider again next time I buy a boat.
Thanks again. You guys have been really great...
I'm looking seriously at a 230 Sundeck and a Sunesta 244. We boat at Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia, both boats have local dealers. Does anyone have thoughts or comments about one or the other boat? Thanks in advance for your help.
Signature section, huh? Didn't know I had one. I boat on Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia. Dealer doesn't have an 09 in stock that I'm interested in so I hafta order it.
Hey, can someone out there help me? I'm looking at a 2009 230 Sundeck and wondering how much of a discount I can expect from MSRP. Given today's economy I gotta figure the dealers are anxious to make a deal. Is a 25% discount unreasonable to expect? How about 30%? Any "negotiating"...
Hey Newbie
I can't help you with 175 Sport questions, but if you don't mind my asking: I'm looking at a 230 Sundeck and wondering what percentage discount from MSRP I can expect on a 2008/2009 model (given today's economic mess)?
