    Hey Matt, this spring I repainted mine in a black colour to cover over the previous red and only used 1 gallon which did two coats.     I was really lucky to get a lot of the original documents and manuals that came with the boat, too bad the previous owner was a dishonest pr_ck and didn't disclose that the boat had a rotten transom. Really my bad anyway, but what goes around comes around:)
