    310 Sundancer Thread (2007 & newer)

I had a bad impeller in my generator. Replaced it, and couldn't get it to run. Found a small fish in the through hull fitting. That's probably what ruined the first impeller. I pulled the strainer, and couldn't get any water to come in when I opened the valve. Probed with a screwdriver, and...

    310 Sundancer Thread (2007 & newer)

I have Skyhook on my '08. Only Axius on Old Hickory Lake, near Nashville. I really don't use it, but it came with the original deal. I wasn't offered any cash back. It would come in handy going through our lock, but I haven't done that yet. It does come with a beeping alarm, like the backup...

    CO alarm

I have a 2008 310 DA with Axius. I frequently have CO alarm problems in the cabin, with the door closed. I did suffer two exhaust gasket leaks since I bought the boat, and thought that might be the problem, but the problem persists. Anyone else have this issue? Once it went off while on...

Little trick to doing a one-man manifild swap.

A mechanic that worked on my boat used another trick. He cut out the bottom of the gasket bolt hole so that he could stick one bolt through the gasket on one end, and then swing the gasket down onto the second bolt. It should have worked, but he didn't get it down quite far enough, and after a...

    Beam size

Well, now that's a little different. Can they tell you the distance between the poles? I would guess it's more than 24'. Probably 26', or 28'. So the size of your neighbor's boat will make a difference, but if they are saying it will accomodate 12' beam boats, yours should work fine.

    Beam size

Mine is 12' between the walkways, but after the rub rails and column bumpers went on, there is only 11'9" left. 12' isn't always 12'.

    Boatless in Chattanooga

Have you checked with Erwin Marine in Chattanooga? Good guys.

    Beam size

Do you think it is really 12'? My 12' slip is only 11'9" because it has column bumpers and rub rails. I have an '08 310, with 10'6" beam, and I have to tie it pretty tight to keep it from hitting the roof columns due to wind and waves. I also have Axius, so docking is easier. Getting 11'2"...

    runaway prius - a hoax?

Car magazines have been doing some tests, and brakes can stop a runaway car, so I think there is a panic factor involved. Also, the Toyota push button doesn't stop the engine unless it is held for over 3 seconds. That is to prevent accidental shutdowns. If you panic, and just push the button...

    A fish story

The generator on my '08 310 Sundancer quit running and gave me a code 62 ERR. No water was coming out of the exhaust when I restarted it, and it promptly shut down again, with the same code. I checked the pump impeller, and two of the vanes had broken off and become lodged in the discharge...

A "Must Have" tool for Boaters

It was on sale, when I went in, but I got the last one in Nashville.

A "Must Have" tool for Boaters

Harbor Freight has a 20% off coupon on their web site, and they let me use in on the camera at the sale price, so I got it for $80.

    310DA - Whats a good price for a new 2009

The boat show price at the Nashville show was about $200k for a boat with MSRP of a little over $300k.

Whats your Boats name and what does it mean to you

"Cat's Whiskers" named after my wife's sewing lable. '08 Sea Ray 310 DA. I think it's still the only Axius boat on Old Hickory Lake, near Nashville.

    Dumbest S!** I ever heard

A man at work was heard trying to find a door for a Ford pickup truck from a wrecking yard. His fellow workers reminded him he had a Chevrolet. He said the door was for his neighbor's truck. Our guy had started to pull out of his driveway with the trailer jack on his boat trailer still down...
