Reb13: I had a small coolant leak that turned out to be coming from the overflow bottle cap. I swapped the caps over and the leak went away...
If you can't find a cheaper source you can always get the coolant overflow bottle or associated parts from your local Cummins dealer.
I have a hydraulic lift. Great for tender, dogs, retrieving swimmers and just sitting on. I think it's larger than the standard platform. Only downside is it requires maintenance. there are four teardrop zincs and the hydraulic lines need to be checked every now and again. Also the under water...
480DB GHS hydraulic lift - options for a tender
I'm thinking of replacing my current tender, a Zodiac, with a Whaler. The Zodiac with engine weighs about 650 lbs.
I may have two whaler options, the 110 sport (650lbs) and maybe the 130 super sport although at 850lbs it's 50lbs over the limit...
FWIW, i have the same central sump tank as Gary, and if that gets gooped up, the overflow is to the central emergency sump under the S/B stateroom. That is the cause of my "random" bad smells on the boat.
Process of elimination. By swapping parts from the central unit, i was able to determine the root cause. The big giveaway though was the fact the control panel was blank. After swapping panels and cables it could only be the circuit board causing the "no power to the control panel" problem...
I'm sure this is not useful, but may give an idea of what you go through supporting an extended trip (in this case 4 weeks)
Things I forgot to do before I left:
Clean the head tank sensors. I never really had any idea how full it was on this trip.
Replace the batteries in the remote control...
Both the forward and starboard stateroom panels are loose thanks to broken plastic mounts here too. Screwing them down is on my todo list...
When I get to the bottom of this i'll post my findings.
Nope, nothing.
It's a standard cruisair package, don't have the specs right now and all of the units have a single remote box for the water pump. I'm suspicious one of the delay fuses in there might be dead but agree the AC unit circuit board needs a look.
Forward AC unit under the master bed stopped working during my extended trip this summer. Any pointers? Here's what I know.
1. Wall control panel for this unit shows nothing, but I've confirmed by swapping the panel out to the center AC unit the panel is working fine.
2. the breaker for the...
Four Suns, thx for the picture.
My local dealer has no idea when, how or why I should pay attention to this drain plug. It certainly hasn't been touched by all the services I've had done so far. What do you all think - Is this a once a trip/month/year thing?
