I am working over the same model and year. On the mechanical end of things, make sure the engines and V-drives don't leak oil. Check all the seacocks and make sure they work as advertised. The engine room is cramped and not alot of wiggle room if/when you have to do any maintenance.
There are a...
Hey Rocky,
Yea, you misread it. Not gonna sell the arch. It is collapsible like akbassking’s but it folds forward instead of aft. Before you purchase an Arch come check it out. I don’t have any pictures of it. It was a spur of the moment road trip and I didn’t think about taking any pictures...
Hey sled, I am in the process of working over an 85 300 SDB. If you have any questions feel free to yell. I am a lil south of you and there are a couple of other 300 owners on here as well.

For those that were asking for a thread, I thought I would start one for the cleanup of the engine room.
A little bit of history on the boat. It’s a 1985 Searay 300 Sedan Bridge with twin Mercruiser/GM 350’s and V-drive transmissions. The boat is new to us as of the fall (Sept/Oct) of last...
Thanks speakrdude, my muffler was originally mounted forward of the steering linkage. You can see the hose dangling behind the linkage in the upper pics. The Genset is on the port side forward of the engine tucked under the floor and the exhaust hose snakes back between the engines on the floor...
Hey all,
I pulled the engines out of the boat over the weekend and I’m sure glad I did. Talk about finding some goofy things. First thing that comes to mind were the power cables on both starters. Both starters had two power cables attached to them. The nuts were holding the cables on with...
