On my 2006 240 I had an alarm issue also, Marine Max had it three different times. Finally they determined it was a loose ground wire. They tightened all the wires, no more alarm. This is something easy to check.
I have a 2006 240 Sundancer, (its for sale by the way). I have had 3 8 year olds on a tube with 4 adults on board, no problem. As for wake boarding, I have no idea. Take a trip to Florida and I'll take the family out for a ride, the water is still warm!
The t-stat is the correct on. The temperature at the t-stat housing is exactly the same with ir temp gun as the gauges.
Whats baffling is that at cruising speed everything is perfect, its just when I slow down.
The only component that has not been changed is the circulation pump, could that...
The Seminole Boat Ramp (city owned) just north of SR60 has a nice lighted lot, I leave my truck and trailer there overnight all the time. I never left the boat on the trailer though.

I have a 5.0 MPI, I had alarms when the boat was new. Had it at MM twice, could not find the problem. The third time, they found a loose ground wire. Have not had another alarm since.
Make sure you change the water pump impeller! The book says its good for 300 hours, no way it will last that long.
At 100 hours, my mechanic convinced me to change mine. He was right, it was all chewed up. I replace mine every year regardless of hours.

Same thing happened to my pump, just stopped working. Took it apart, put it back together, worked for a few days then stopped. Took it apart again, worked for a few days then stopped again.
I'm tired of fussing with it. I am going to replace the pump with a different...

Found a leak where the water hose goes into the side of the Cool Fuel Module. It is coming from the upper pipe, between the bracket and the module body.
Has anyone had this problem? I was wondering if this is a simple fix or if the entire module has to be...
