Yep, know them both well. Charlie gets my vote for most helpful boater of the year. The sandbar is a regular hangout, though mine is too big to beach....always looking for someone else to tie next to. It gets a little too 'adult' sometimes for my son though. We go to Snake...
Hey James and Pat,
There are still informal boat races every now and then between Covenant Cove and the Holiday Inn on the weekends. Always fun to see who gets smoked. I keep my boat at Seibold, and it's too big to make it under the bridge, so I'm usually a guest on someone else's boat...
Yep, I know. Got 2 cans of it from Walmart. Starts yellow and turns pink in acid. Kind of neat stuff actually, you can see the spray patterns well up from the foam and find exactly where all the acid is. Fumes are hideous though. I was mostly concerned with the battery acid spraying inside...
Thanks for the advice.....guess I'm going with the overcharging for now as the port engine was already running. Oddly, I had the blower on also, but only for about 30 seconds.
Had a battery explode when I tried to start my starboard engine. I've got a 3 battery set up: 2 in parallel on port side, and 1 on starboard between the generator and the 3 bank recharger. When I bought the boat last September , I even tested each one's charge and checked dates, etc. This...
dad's turn,
different state....same rate. My 300 is $2.00 a foot, but they clean the cockpit area also. Towel dry. I'd do it myself but I'm....uh....busy!
So THAT'S the solution. I've had this problem on my '94 250EC since I bought it several years ago and couldn't figure out the erratic RPM's. I used to tap (lightly) on the display glass and it would jump back down. Thanks for the info!
A*aron,
I'll second the lack of engine trim needed on the 300. My '93 has a limit switch issue on the starboard outdrive that is a pain to get to because of the generator location. I bought it in September knowing it was an issue, but really just needed to hack more $$ off the selling...
Umm.....yesterday! Low last night was 12 and high today is 38. Probably 5 hours of above freezing temps and low is 17 tonight. 1st winter with this boat ('93 300DA) and I hope to take it out at least once during the winter (sans water and head). Oh.....BTW....1st post
