I had water coming in my starboard window, running forward up behind galley cabinets, under windshield and coming down in starboard forward locker, and also down wall to v berth shelf with tv and absorbing into the rails around bed. Water also ran under rails and down onto mattress. Look for...
... and would appreciate any guidance, tips, words of wisdom that you may have. I also would love to hear from anyone that owns this boat as well. I will have a survey AND an engine survey performed as well.
Thanks,
Paul
Jason,
I have considered that boat for awhile, but have not seen it in person. I have gotten lots of info from my dealership on that boat. My concern from a distance is that it has been for sale in inventory for more than a year. I am still looking at 48 Da's, but have not made a decision. I...
Thanks for the input. This is what I got back from service department:
"found that the wire harness on the engine had a pin that had busted and was causing an arc, which was tripping the breaker. The new harness is around $150"
Does this sound correct?
Thanks again.

Mark,
Good to hear from you! I have talked with Keith; He is in the slip beside me. What do YOU think about the Mer 411 and the comments about the engine being too small?

I am considering several boats right now.
One is a 2003 Searay 40 SB with Diesels
One is a NEW 2007 (still in dealer new inventory) Meridian 411.

Thanks,
Paul

I had some water come in the v berth after the storms this summer. The matttress, bedding, pillows, and platform (carpeted) had been wet. I didn't find it until several weeks later and the v berth smelled very bad. I stripped the mattress, took the mattress out in the sun for a day and sprayed...
Thanks, I'll take a look at mine this weekend, but mine is in the salon, and doesn't have a swivel base. It is mounted inside a floor cabinet, with a drawer underneath, and a a small cabinet with shelves on the right side. I will look to see if there are screws inside the cabinet.
Anyone else...
I cannot figure out how the tv/vcr is attached in the cabinet in the salon and I want to remove it. There doesn't seem to be any straps holding it down. There is a drawer under the tv cabinet, so is it possible that it is attached from the bottom? Anyone have any experience with this?
Thanks...
