I had that issue, when the pump was cycling on/off without any water being used. Had it repaired. This is slightly different problem. I guess my question is, if I turn a faucet on and use (literally) 1 ounce of water, should the pump come on to repressurize? And if I do that every 30 seconds...
I am a new owner of a 2001 310DA and think I have an issue. My pump shuts off and holds pressure fine, but if I turn any water on, even at a trickle, the pump instantly turns back on to pressurize, then turns off. In other words, if I turn a faucet on trickling for 20 seconds, the pump will...
I can't add much to what everyone has said, but here is my story. I owned 19' Chaparral bow riders for 25+ years. Great boats and raised the family with it doing water sports/recreation. Kids are now in college/grown, and so my wife and I wanted to try a cruiser. We went with a 2001 310DA as a...
Quick question from a newbie. I noticed the overhead recessed "can" lights in the cabin have both AC and DC light bulbs. Is there any advantage/reason to ever use AC? Since the switches as you enter the cabin control all the DC, I just always leave all on DC, for easy use. What am I missing?
Thanks - but the links in that other thread to dropbox appear broken. We are certainly OK with anything other than what we've got, but I'm not really a DIY, especially when reading some of the threads of how much prep work is required for the subfloor. I just don't have that skill set.
I saw you had asked another member for a template to replace the carpet? Did he ever respond, and/or did you ever do anything with your 310? We just bought a 2001, and the wife says the carpet has gotta go! Thanks.
PS: I'd be glad to pay him/you for the template as well, if we head down this path.
We just purchased a 2001 310DA, and the first thing my wife said was, "this carpet has GOT to go!". Each of those options look very nice, and I realize our boat is smaller, but can you guys provide a ballpark price for someone who (unfortunately) is NOT a DIY?
I’ve always heard you’ll have a little better acceleration out of the hole and a little higher top end speed. But if you ever hit something on the bottom, rather than simply destroying a relatively cheap (aluminum) prop, you could destroy the whole out drive.
Thanks dtfeld - I'm on Lanier as well, and the few places we occasionally beach have pretty steep drop offs - hence the question. I assumed it would be OK, but wanted to check for sure.
You guys have been super helpful with a couple other newbie questions, so I appreciate your thoughts on one more.
I live on a pretty deep fresh water lake, which has fairly steep slopes from shore. With my current 20 foot bow rider, when anchoring just off shore, I drop about 20' of line in...
Thanks for all the advice. I just checked briefly and it appears Lake Lanier in the middle of winter can get down to 45-50, which is maybe too close for comfort.
I also asked my surveyor who indicated water in the transom shower hose will likely freeze regardless, so winterizing may be...
