Let the boat do the work when getting up. There is some debate on this but you may want to invest in a helmet. Keep the tip of the board out of the water to try and avoid a face plant which can be painful and could cause injury. I have yet to meet a wakeboarder that has not face planted.

In October I traded my 205 Sport for a Mastercraft X-2. Since we've wake surfed and I've researched quite a bit. NEVER surf behind an I/O!!!!!!

If I had to guess I would say it was Indmar since they supply most of Malibu's (GM) engines.

I tow my 205 Sport with the same truck - 07 Tacoma with tow package - 4x4. No problems. :thumbsup:

When I upgrade I will test drive the 350 mag. If I don't feel enough difference compared to my 5.0 I will not spend the extra money. Once the wakeboarder, skier, etc. is out of the hole - does is really matter (5.0 vs 350mag)? Kevin

Without a tower and 4 adult passengers on board my 5.0 (carb) pulled an adult wakeboarder out of the water without hesitation. :smt017 Kevin

Yes it has the Star Trek design.

Prefer the look of the new "Star Trek" seats over the old ones.....never liked that design. However I've never sat in an old one so can't speak to the comfort. Kevin
