I live in Turkey and my boat is Eurpean equivalent of 280. It's 2005 and that year diesel option was KAD300, in 2006 D6-310-DPH and in 2007 through discontinued Yanmar 6LPA-STZP BIII.
Due to bad fuel I was having dificulty to get on plane/reaching 3000rpm. Long story short did every possible fixing and replaced the nozzles and cleaned the bottom now I'm happy.
VP's are too sensitive for fuel, so I recommend you keep your diesel tank full in winter and in season drain your racor bowl and replace the filter element one a fortnight and use 10 micron.
