Thank you, I have been thinking of doing the injectadeck, below is a photo of the soft spongey area, it seems very localized to there. I need to pull the hatch to re-seal it and I will see the accessibility of of getting all the old junk out. I will reach out for the injectadeck if I get to it...
What a beautiful job, and I am jealous
I have a soft deck just in front of my Bow window on my 2001, 290. I cannot bring myself to spend the 15k to fix it. I bought the boat at a discount knowing it had the soft deck and I will likely sell the boat at a discount as it doesn't seem logical, as I...
I'm swapping out my risers and manifolds on my twin 5.0 EFIs. But I ran into the issue of not being able to find small 1.25inch spacer that mounts to the top of the 3 inch one.

Has anyone come up with a source for these? I don't want to go the the 6inch tall ones as...
I love that it will be an OEM QS prop, I guess I just didn't know that B2 props were so specific, and if I ever needed to find a cheaper prop, it seems not many other companies make them in that size.
Just came here to say the QUICKSILVER QA1953R-23P as my replacement port prop, at $500-$600 bucks for an ALUMINUM prop is just dumb..... and I NEVER complain about the cost of boating.
Keep us updated on how that turns out, I'm out on long Island and maybe to far to get it to him, but I was contemplating getting my soft deck on my bow fixed but the price hasn't been right.
Boats hauled and ready for wrap, my port side aluminum prop has a nice chunk missing womp womp, it is what it is, I was going to consider going SS. The boat parts manual says they are 17.5" X 23" Aluminum props, do I need to change the pitch if I'm going SS? Or do I run identical DIA and pitch...
Long island 64/ft for haul, wash, land, block, launch. Another 11/ft to wrap. Luckily i chose the only marina that lets you do your own work to save on the 600/outdrive, 300/motor + parts.
I agree it could be both, I was going to get the Gateways first to verify the digital readout to see what my true information is, not these old gauges. The boat runs great WOT which and I am hoping its just the gauges, I've just been taking the boat on vacations so I haven't wanted to start...
This is a long shot, you don't remember the thread size you drilled into the carb off the top of your head do you? I left the old carb on the boat and have the new carb in hand at work.
I think its a 1/8 MNPT, but cant be sure, obviously finding a parts diagram is miserable for this
I was going to throw, plug, cap, rotor, and maybe a coil at it, to kind of rule out electrical. Then I was going to run a WOT, with some starter fluid down the throat of the throttle body to make sure I am getting enough fuel.
I am used to older carb motors, still learning the EFI system
2001,290. Twin 5.0 EFI [300 hours each] , Bravo 2's
I've been hesitant to post because I haven't dove too far into looking at things but, when I purchased the boat 2 years ago till this day, at higher RPM 2,500 plus, the throttles at are at 2 different spots to match RPM on tacs and balancer...
