A river cruise would be a great half day. A dinghy might be a bit small for the river. I’d bring the big boat. The lock can be challenging if single-handing. The lake level is so high that the current in the lock when the gates open can be pretty strong. Holding on to the ropes to keep the boat...

Looking to upgrade electronics to an Axiom - likely 9”. Has anyone replaced the C80 or similar with an Axiom? What about the display right in front of the wheel? Size? Earlier in this thread I saw what I think was a 9” on the left panel, so trying to see what it would look like with a 9” and 7”...

Pedestal mount with filet table fits the Weber Q perfectly. Bolted the grill through the rear legs using 1.5” bolts and wing nuts. No heat issues.

I drilled oversized holes, filled with West Sytems epoxy, and inserted bolts through those into a plywood backing plate that was epoxied to the underside.

The Chicago Harbor system closes tomorrow, October 31. We put her to sleep today down the Chicago river. I'll try to attach a video of the Amtrak bridge on the Chicago river opening - a vertical lift bridge. Pretty cool to see! Entering the lock from Lake Michigan into the Chicago River...

Weber Q. Installed a flush mounted pedestal mount, and a filet table. The Weber sits perfectly on the table, but I mounted two quick disconnect bolts to the rear legs for security.

I've read up on the gymnastics required to change the coolant - but I want to be sure I purchase the correct type. Currently, the coolant is pink - and about 5 years old. Can someone confirm that this would be the correct fluid? Prestone Dexcool...

Stored there last year - no issues with winterization. Boat was lifted out on schedule and ready for launch on time. I’ve chosen to store closer to the city this year, as it’s quite a hike via car from the city - so working on it over the winter was difficult. Mechanics during the season charge...
