    340 SUNDANCER THREAD

Hello, I'm looking for thoughts and advise again... A very nice day in NY today so off to the boat to do some, what I thought was, simple maintenance work. I went to change the gas filters (both the water Seperator and the in-line) and didn't get too far before I had to stop to ask a...

I'm following up in case it helps anyone... I found the connectors on the rear of the engines, but not the ones pictured above. Not finding anything obvious on the port engine I started looking at the starbaord engine. There I found the purple termination 10 pin cap and was able to then trace...

I'm back looking for thoughts & advise again... I'm looking to install the VesselView 403 in my 2002 340 with 8.1H engines. I have an email from Mercruiser telling me I'm compatible along with a list of the pieces needed for the install. My trouble is in finding the right connector at the...

Sorry for what might be an obvious question, but... There is a circuit breaker in the cabin for "Power Vents". What are the Power Vents? Thanks,

Boatrboy, You have a good eye :) It was, in fact, the tee connection on the heater side had slid out some. But, since I was down there I changed out the tee anyway and placed all 3 clips. At least now I can see that I have a slow drip at the top of my hot water mixing valve. I'll wait and...

So I've since found out that it's a Seatech 15mm tee connector. Seatech isn't around anymore but I did find the fitting at a place called Shore Marine in Seattle... Now the drama is to get in there, replace it, and see if I have other leaks :) More to follow...

I'm looking for some advise and thoughts again... After realizing that my freshwater pump was going on every 10 seconds or so I started looking for a leak... I found it at my hot water heater (picture attached). I looks like the push-to-connect fitting has gone bad. Has anyone on this forum...

I'm looking for suggestions from other 340 8.1 owners :) What is the suggested way down to access A/C inlet strainer - between the hot water heater and the engine or between the 2 engines? I'm not a very large person (5'8 & 160) but I've already failed the test twice this week with climbing...

Knot It, thank you... Having the spent a few hours these past 3 days crawling around the engines I have a newfound respect for anyone that works on the 340s with 8.1s. At one point I was sliding down headfirst between the engines to get a roll of tape that I knocked down to the bottom of the...

Back in the water and connected to electric today! When I switch on the "Outlets" circuit breaker I get the cabin vacuum turning on for a second or two - and then turning off... I switched off the breaker right away concerned that I may have a bad wire somewhere - but now that I'm home and...
