my pedistal helm seat on the 38 sundancer will not move up and down any more. lubricating it didn't work. has anyone had this problem and if so what is the fix? thanks, jim
anyone have an idea on how to track down a small transmisson oil leak on the port engine on my 38' sea ray (8.1L mercruiser V drive)? a few drips after each use, but not enough for the fluid level to go down at least as seen on the dip stick. any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks...
thanks all. yes, the handle moves fine, but even when i hold the handle up and try to move the seat manually it will not budge. i have sprayed silcone on everything under the seat and it still does not move. seems to bef rozen in place. does the seat need to come out to get at the piston...
i am having trouble getting the helm seat on my 38 da to move up and down. all other directions work fine, but the vertical direction doesn't work. i tried using silicone spray to free it, but that didn't help. do these freeze up? any ideas or suggestions on how to get it operational...
thanks for the quick reply. i will give it a try. sounds like even if i pull the refrig i would still need to pop off the valence to get the tv to clear the opening. appreciate the advice. jim
can you offer a bit more help with getting the old TV out? i have basically the same arrangement as your boat on my 38da. i tried to gently pry the black lip in front of the tv to get it out as you suggested, but it does not lift and i am afraid that it will break if i force it. it goes...
i have a 2003 38 sea ray da and wondered if anyone has come up with a way to provide shade to the aft seating area? i am trying to avoid putting new support mounting poles to extend the rear canvas top. any ideas would be appreciated.
